Ah yes, oral tablets or injections? This is undoubtedly one of the most debated topics when taking BPC-157. More importantly, can oral really achieve the same effect as injection?

This question exists not only among actual users but has also been explored in research papers.

While many peptides are rapidly broken down by the digestive tract, BPC-157 is not. It has shown remarkable stability in experiments.

4. Animal Data: Absorption and Half-Life

Although BPC-157 is more stable in gastric fluid than other peptide drugs, we currently lack sufficient human data to prove absorption and duration of action.

That said, there is some real data on absorption rates. But as we have always emphasized, the problem is that this data still comes from animals, not humans.

When BPC-157 is injected intramuscularly, approximately 14%–19% of the dose is absorbed in rats, while 45%–51% is absorbed in dogs.

In addition, BPC-157 is cleared quickly: its half-life (the time required for the drug concentration to drop by half) is less than 30 minutes.

After injection, the drug spreads widely throughout the body, mostly ending up in the kidneys and least in the brain. This suggests that only a very small amount of the drug actually reaches the brain. The body then breaks the drug down into six smaller molecules, which are excreted through urine, bile, and feces.

The newer animal study mentioned above shows a half-life of less than 30 minutes, which is the more convincing data.

An earlier 1996 study reported a half-life of approximately 66–69 hours after oral administration, which is significantly longer. But this earlier data should be treated with caution. It comes only from a 1996 report, which later review articles have continued to cite, rather than from modern peer-reviewed research. The shorter half-life data is more reliable.

6. Results from Animal Gut Studies

Regarding whether oral BPC-157 is superior to injection, the results from animal gut studies are actually encouraging.

In most rodent studies, oral BPC-157 (even when mixed into drinking water) was as effective as injection. And in a short bowel study, both oral and injectable delivery were effective.

So at least for animals with gut issues, these results are encouraging. But human research is still lacking. No study shows how much oral dosage humans actually absorb, nor whether capsules are truly as effective as injections.

This is important because many users have started taking oral BPC-157, believing it will be as effective as injection.

7. The Problem of Inconsistent Dosing

Another issue is inconsistent dosing. Oral dosing protocols across the dataset vary widely:
